NOVEMBER 6 READING…EZEKIEL 25-26 & PSALM 60 & 1 TIMOTHY 3
God is just, and His justice is right, pure, and perfect every time. Ezekiel not only spoke of the justice and punishment of God against Israel, but also the neighboring countries. The truth is that all people will stand before God one day, and give an account for their lives and their choices. If you have not trusted in the substitutionary atonement of Jesus Christ, you will stand before God in only your ”goodness”. Listen to my warning…you will not measure up, and it will cost you eternal life. God would bring judgment on Ammon, Moab, Edom, Philistia, and Tyre. All these countries were filled with idolatry. We must remember that God will not share His glory with anyone. In Psalm, there is a cry for God to bring restoration. When things are going good we forget God, and move into sin…the results are always bad, so we soon call out to God for help. We so need restoration in our day. Paul talks about the importance of qualified, servant leadership in the church. Truth is, no one is qualified that is not qualified by God. Once again, we are reminded in God’s Word that it is His church…it must be done as He requires.
