NOVEMBER 12 READING…EZEKIEL 36 & PSALM 109 & ACTS 1
God is a God of forgiveness and renewal. He does these both when we come to a place of repentance and have a desire to believe and trust Him. God through Ezekiel promised a time would come when His blessings would fall once again on Israel…and a time of renewal would come to the nation. The Psalmist reminds us that ultimately it is what God thinks about us that is important. People are fickle…the ones that praise you today might be your critics tomorrow. People like to condemn the followers of Christ, because they hate the Lord. Paul reminds we believers that there is no condemnation in Jesus. The one who accuses and condemns is the devil…so those who make a practice of accusations and condemnation reveal who their father is. There is no greater act of forgiveness and renewal than that which comes through salvation in Christ Jesus. In Acts, Luke reminds us that we have received the Holy Spirit, who sanctifies us, and empowers us to be witnesses for Christ. Think about what God has done for we believers, He saves us…He forgives us…He renews us…He empowers us…He allows us to be part of His great work…and He calls us His own children.
Please share your thoughts.
