MARCH 24 READING…NUMBERS 32 & JOHN 14
The theme of today’s reading is that there is only one way…God’s way. Just prior to moving into the land of promise, 2 1/2 tribes decided that they would like their inheritance on the east side of the Jordan River. This caused conflict among the tribes. This was settled by the tribes agreeing to go into the land with the other tribes of Israel, and help them get settled in the land, before returning to the east side of the Jordan River. They would all ultimately be settled in the land according to God’s plan. In John14, Jesus makes it clear that He is the Way of God. No one can even come to God except they come through Jesus. When we know Jesus, we can know the Father. Jesus tells us God’s way is to send the Holy Spirit…the Holy Spirit makes it possibly for us to know both Jesus and God the Father. This is God’s way…and there is no other way. My prayer is that all who read this have either come to God for salvation, through Jesus…or you will, even today.
