MARCH 1 READING…LUKE 1
God’s plan of salvation is about to be completed in this world. He begins by sending the one to go before Messiah…his name was John and he was the son of an aged priest and his wife. Then the Lord sent an angel to announce that she would be the chosen one to be the mother of Messiah. She was to name Him Jesus…which means Savior. The Lord did not send Messiah through the seed of man, but through the seed of woman. Jesus had no earthly father…He is the Son of God. Even in the womb John recognized Jesus who was also in the womb of His mother. For those who brazenly declared that there is no baby until after birth…they speak against God. Mary praises and worships the Lord for His goodness. After John is born, at his circumcision, Zachariah his father prophesies over him, about the great task the Lord had for him. Nothing happens by coincidence, or out of God’s time…and this is specifically true when it comes to God’s plan of salvation through Jesus His Son.
