JUNE 5 READING…2 SAMUEL 22 & PSALM 144 & 1 CORINTHIANS 2
Who is mankind that God would even consider us? David was a flawed man, but God loved him and blessed his reign as king of Israel. The grace of God abounds to those who belong to Him. Though David was not perfect, God is, and God is greater than our imperfections. Sometimes we bemoan our imperfections, believing they disqualify us from being used of God. We cannot believe that the Creator of the universe would care about us, or ever be able to use us. God does not use us because of how great we are, but because of how great He is. David praised God for His blessings, and it staggered him that God would consider him and use him. In Psalms, David even tells the heavens to bow in the presence and power of God. Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians that his only message was Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Paul was staggered at the thought of Jesus’ sacrifice for we fallen people. Because of His great love, Jesus died for us. We need to receive and live in this message…and we need to share this message with those who do not know yet. We really have no other message for the world around us.
Please share your thoughts.
