JUNE 3 READING…2 SAMUEL 19 & PSALM 34 & 3 JOHN 1
God is a God of restoration. It is true that He is a God of salvation…but He is also the God of restoration. We have all fallen away from the Lord to some extent in our Christian lives. How sad it would be if we only got one chance, and then messed it up…where would our hope be? God not only saves us, He restores His children when they fall. He is a terrific Father who is there to pick us up. He did it for David…God restored him after he repented from his sin, and God restored him when he lost his throne to his son. In Psalms, David praises the Lord for His goodness in restoring him. Then in 3 John, John speaks of how the Lord not only restores us to Himself, but to each other. If we would all put our eyes on the Lord, and desire His ways more than our own, our fellowship with other followers in Christ would be strong, and where restoration is needed…He would bring it.
