JUNE 13 READING…ACTS 27
Paul finds himself on a ship from Caesarea to Italy. He had appealed to Caesar and now he was being sent to Rome. The trip was a difficult one, because of the winds not cooperating. The truth is that God had a plan for Paul to be a specific place, and to allow him to minister in the lives of the men on the crew of ship. Paul warned them of an upcoming disaster, but they refused to listen. Things got worse, and they started to throw things overboard to lighten the ship. Now Paul spoke up again and told them that an angel had told him not to be afraid for he must stand before Caesar. When things got desperate, Paul warned that everyone stay on board, and they would be safe. Paul encouraged them to take nourishment, and the 276 persons on board did so. In the morning they let go of the anchors, and the ship ran aground, and the ship broke up. Now the soldiers were about to kill the prisoners so they would not escape, but it was put in the centurion’s heart to save Paul, stopped the soldiers. Just as Paul had said, no one was lost in the breakup of the ship. Once again, we see that God’s hand was on Paul. I want you all to know that God’s hand is on you also. Even in the worst of circumstances, God is at work in your life. Be encouraged…and trust Him, see what He will do.
