JULY 29 READING…1 CHRONICLES 17-18 & LUKE 17
God has a wonderful plan for the life of each one of His children. He has a plan for you, and His plan for you is not what He has for someone else. We need to continue to walk daily in the Lord, that way we are right where we need to be when God is ready to reveal the next part of our journey to fulfill His plan. It would be a shame if our sin, or our lack of walking with the Lord caused us to miss His plan for us. God had a plan for David. David desired to build God’s Temple, but that wasn’t part of the Lord’s plan for him. David didn’t become frustrated and give up…rather he praised God, and thanked Him for His great blessings to use him in any way. Don’t spend one nanosecond wishing or envying someone else because of the way God is using them…thank the Lord and be that person’s biggest cheerleader. It’s not about us…it really is about the Lord receiving the glory due His holy and wonderful Name. In Luke, Jesus warns of a great punishment for those who would hurt the children…He also warns of the judgment that is coming on this earth at His return. He speaks of faith and duty. We ought to walk in the Lord and do what is right…this is our duty. Then Jesus heals ten lepers, but only one returns to thank Him for this great blessing. Let’s be a grateful people for all that Jesus has done for us…let’s be like the one leper, and not like the ungrateful nine.
Please share your thoughts.
