JULY 16 READING…1 CORINTHIANS 9
We have freedom and the rights we both in our country and as followers of Christ. This means we also have the liberty to set those rights aside in order to benefit and bless others. One of the God-given rights we all have is life…remember “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness…”. Every veteran, police officer, firefighter that wore the uniforms of their service put their right to life aside to serve a cause greater than personal freedoms. Paul teaches us as Christians we are free…we have liberty in Christ…we have a wonderful standing in Christ, because we do we can set our privileges aside to bless others. We are called to serve all people…some will receive and appreciate our service, while others will reject and despise our service. We are to serve anyway…because ultimately our service to others is primarily to God. As best we can we ought to serve with a right motive, knowing that it is God who sees…and it is God who rewards. Now, go out today and serve the Lord by serving others.
Please share your thoughts.
