DECEMBER 8 READING…ESTHER 6-7 & PSALM 9 & ACTS 27
The Bible speaks of the truth that everything that is done in the dark, will be made manifest by the light. Haman was an evil man who attempted to kill an innocent man, he even had gallows built to kill Mordecai. Yet, it was not Mordecai that died on the gallows, but Haman died on his own gallows. Sometimes we wonder if evil will ever be held accountable and be punished. The answer is yes…sometimes in a short amount of time, sometimes in a long period of time…but it will be judged and punished. David, in Psalms, speaks of the truth that his enemies are in the hands of God. He declares that God will bring justice upon his evil enemies. God will prevail in all things. In Acts, Paul is sent from Caesarea to Rome on a ship. The sea became a tempest, and the men were afraid they were going to perish, but Paul tells them what to do. Although, they lose the ship, they all are able to swim to safety on the island of Malta. God always takes care of his own…Paul had words of life for those on the ship, he spoke them, they listen, and were saved. We too have the words of live for those headed for hell…we need to speak them, pray they will listen and be saved.
