DECEMBER 30 READING…REVELATION 22
The final chapter of the Bible opens with John seeing the throne of God and Jesus, with a pure crystal river flowing from it. He sees the tree of life which bore twelve fruits and whose leaves brings healing. The curse is gone…and we shall see the Lord face to face forever. The light there comes from God Himself. What a beautiful place is our eternal home.
John tells us that the things he has told us in this book are true, and the time is near. When Jesus comes, He will come suddenly, so we are told to keep His words. John is told to share this word of prophecy, for the time is at hand. People will be what they will be…the holy will be holy, the ungodly will be ungodly. Jesus then speaks declaring the truth of His revelation through John. Jesus is the Alpha and the Omega, Beginning and the End, the First and the Last. The Spirit and the church continue to call everyone to Jesus, so they will not have to face that which is to come. No one can add to this word of prophecy, nor can they take away from it…for they will face the wrath of God. Maranatha…come quickly Lord Jesus!
