DECEMBER 29 READING…ISAIAH 60-64 & REVELATION 20
Jesus is the good news of salvation to all who will believe. He came to bring salvation to all who would respond to the call of the Holy Spirit. This requires an acknowledgment on our part that we are sinners, unable to make ourselves right with God our Creator. Then we must humble ourselves and put our faith and trust in Jesus the only Savior of mankind. Isaiah tells us that Jesus came to preach the good news to the poor in spirit, and heal the broken hearted. He came to proclaim liberty to those captive to sin, and set us free. He came to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, the judgment of the Lord, and bring comfort to those who mourn. I pray that same Spirit and same ministry would be upon me...all for His glory! Revelation 20 tells us that Satan will be bound for a thousand years, and then released for a short period before being thrown into the lake of fire. During that thousand years we will reign with the Lord here upon earth. And then things come to a finish as those who have rejected Jesus will stand in judgment at the Great White Throne…sadly they will leave that place and be cast into the lake of fire. This is the day to humble ourselves and trust in Jesus…tomorrow is not guaranteed for any of us.
Please share your thoughts.
