DECEMBER 27, 2022 ~ 52 WEEKS THROUGH THE NEW TESTAMENT

DECEMBER 27 READING…REVELATION 19

At the fall of Babylon all of heaven rejoices over God's salvation, His righteousness, glory, honor, and power. The preparation for the marriage supper of the Lamb begins (the Lamb is Jesus; the bride is His church). The bride is presented as dressed in garments of fine linen, clean and bright. This garment represents the righteousness of the saints...remember this righteousness has been imputed to us through Jesus Christ. This supper will be a great blessing to those who attend...imagine how wonderful it will be to have a seat at the Lord's table.

The next thing that happens is that heaven opens and Jesus comes to the earth on a white horse. The first time He came as a servant and Savior...this time He is coming as Judge to make war. He is described as having eyes of fire, wearing a many teared crown (a diadem). He is clothed in a white robe that has been dipped in blood. He is called the Word of God, followed by the armies of heaven. Out of His mouth comes the sharped two-edged sword, which is the Word of God, with which He will destroy the nations that have rejected God. He is the King of kings, and Lord of lords. The destruction will be final and complete...the devastation is overwhelming. The Antichrist and the false prophet will be captured alive and thrown into the lake of fire...these are the first two residents of hell. All the rest who had made themselves enemies of God will be killed by the sword that proceeds out of Jesus' mouth.
