DECEMBER 16 READING…ISAIAH 14-16 & PSALM 23 & REVELATION 7
In Isaiah 14 we have the fall of Lucifer, whose great sin was pride…pride is the original sin in heaven and here on earth. It is the one thing that will stand between us and the Lord. Pride will not allow an individual to respond to God…pride falsely makes them think they don’t need God. Psalm 23 reminds us just how much we need God. He is our Shepherd, who provides all that we need…He is our provision. He guides us, protects us, and gives us rest. He restores our souls, and makes sure we don’t even have to fear death. He promises that His goodness and mercy will be with us everyday of our lives, and when our lives are over we will be with Him forever. In Revelation, John reveals that 144000…12000 from each tribe of Israel will come to salvation and be used of God during the tribulation period. God also shows John a great multitude that will have white robes which came out of the tribulation period and are before the throne of God forever. God, our great Shepherd, has given us His promise of eternity…there is nothing to fear.
