DECEMBER 12, 2024 ~ A WALK THROUGH THE NEW TESTAMENT

DECEMBER 12 READING…REVELATION 11

In this chapter John begins by measuring the Temple. This measurement includes all the Temple area except for the court of the Gentiles. These interesting instructions seem to tell us that the Temple Mount will be occupied by both the Jews and the Gentiles in the time to come. Could part of Daniels 9’s covenant between the Antichrist and Israel includes the ability for Israel to rebuild the Temple, but with the caveat of allowing the Muslims to keep the masque there? John then introduces two witnesses …the two lampstands of God spoken of by the Prophet Zechariah (chapter 4 verse 2). They are invincible as they carry out delivering God message and warning to the people in Jerusalem and around the world. They will stand against Antichrist and his demonic agenda, so many will try to kill them, only to find death for themselves. They have the power of Moses and Elijah. When their task is complete the Lord allows their enemies to kill them. They lie dead in the streets of Jerusalem for three days, causing the people to throw parties and even give gifts to celebrate these “tormentor’s” deaths. Then on the third day they stand up alive and are caught up to heaven. Then a great earthquake strikes Jerusalem and divides the city into thirds, killing seven thousand. As this chapter closes the seventh angel sounds his trumpet, and heaven prepares for the final series of judgment to come upon the earth…as all heaven worships and gives glory to God.
