APRIL 26 READING…JOSHUA 16-18 & PROVERBS 26
The Lord sets boundaries…and people are infamous for breaking those barriers. God instructed Israel concerning the boundaries for more of the tribes. In Proverbs, we are told how to respond to those in our lives that break biblical boundaries. How are we to relate to fools? We are not to answer them with their own foolishness, lest we become foolish. We are to answer them with the wisdom of God. A fool is incapable of speaking or comprehending wisdom. How are we to relate to sluggards? The lazy person is their own destruction. The lazy person lives off of others, and other’s resources…all the while believing that they are smarter to everyone else, because they don’t have to work to get what they want. Don’t enable the lazy by giving to them. How are we to relate to gossips? Stay away from them…gossip is only effective when there are those willing to listen. When we listen to a gossip, we become the fuel for the fire of their tongue. Those who gossip are filled with hate for others…we can know that when we are not around them, they are gossiping about us.
