APRIL 16 READING…DEUTERONOMY 32 & PROVERBS 16
Today’s theme is that God is faithful and we humans are fickle. Moses declares in Deuteronomy 32 that God is our Rock…He is the Rock of our salvation. He is immovable…He is immutable. He stands strong and no one can shake the foundation that He is. He does not change…we can trust Him to be who He is, and we can trust every promise that He has made. While the people of God are both unstable and unreliable…that is why we so desperately need Him. We are to be grounded in the Lord…He is to be our unshakable foundation in a world that has no stability. In Proverbs we are again given wisdom to live by. These are the words of God through the writer, in order for us to walk in the wisdom of the Lord all the days of our lives. We all seek advice from those we trust, and this is a good thing…as long as these we seek are faithful followers of God. We all need to be more in His Word, for in it we not only find the words of life…we find the words on how to live life.
