APRIL 15, 2023 ~ THEMATIC JOURNEY THROUGH THE BIBLE

APRIL 15 READING…DEUTERONOMY 31 & PSALM 139 & PROVERBS 15

God is Omniscient…He knows all things, for all times. There is nothing that He is learning…He is not developing, or coming to new understandings. His plan is perfect. In our readings it is God’s time for Moses to move off the scene, and be followed by Joshua. This happens all throughout history, and in our time also…one leaves, and another servant comes. The constant in all of this is our all knowing God, who loves us enormously. The main problem expressed with Israel was not whether they would follow Joshua, but whether they would follow God. History tells us they would not. The Psalmist reminds us that God knows us thoroughly and intimately…He understands us. There is no where we can go from His presence, nor can we hide anything from Him. He knew us before we were born, and our days are in His hand. We need to trust the constant One who not only controls today, but also our eternity. In Proverbs we are again reminded the difference between those who trust God, and walk in His ways…and the foolish who walk in rebellion. The evidence that we are trusting in God is that we walk in His wisdom.
