APRIL 14 READING…DEUTERONOMY 29-30 & PROVERBS 14
We have a God of renewal…for which we should be extremely thankful. Without that we would all perish. Think about it, one mistake and it would all be over…how hopeless would that be? God renewed His covenant with Israel after they failed in disobedience and wandered in the wilderness. This renewal was not just a matter of let’s forget the past as if it doesn’t matter...but required repentance from Israel and a commitment to follow God again. When Israel entered into renewal with God, they once again enjoyed His blessings. We are renewed everyday by the Holy Spirit…enjoy the blessings of His presence today. The writer of Proverbs reminds us why we need both God’s renewal and presence… “There’s a way that seems right to a man, but it’s end is the way of death.” Live in God’s way, the way of His wisdom…enjoy His presence as He brings renewal into your life.
